Skiers cross the finish line at the American Birkebeiner Ski Race on Hayward's Main Street. This video is a bit loud so you may want to check your volume:)
The annual frog hatch heralds the arrival of spring.
There are 7.5 miles of trails which are a mix of flat and easy rolling terrain, winding around a lake and through pines and hardwoods. The trails are used for hiking, running, walking and biking. In the winter people enjoy skiing on the classic only ski trail maintained by HASTA (Hayward Area Ski Trails Association). Text courtesy of Hayward Memorial Hospital website.
